  12. Egypt Human Rights
The human rights situation in Egypt remains poor. Amnesty International has long-standing concerns on systematic torture, deaths of prisoners in custody, unfair trials, and arrests of prisoners of conscience for their political and religious beliefs or for their sexual orientation.
The people of ancient Egypt highly valued family life. They treasured children and regarded them as a great blessing. In the lower class families, the mother raised the children. The wealthy and nobility, had slaves and servants that helped take care of the children by attending to their daily needs. If a couple had no children, they would pray to the gods and goddesses for help. They would also place letters at the tombs of dead relatives asking them to use their influence with the gods. Magic was also used as an attempt to have children. In event that a couple still could not conceive a child, adoption was also an option.
    Egypt Government
Is an important organization that functions to maintain democracy in the country.
Cairo, the capital city is located in the northern part of Egypt. Egypt is also known as the Arab Republic of Egypt. The national flag of Egypt has three colors of red, white and black.
Egypt is divided into 27 governorates. These divisions are also known as muhafazat. Parliament of Egypt is bicameral. The 2 houses are known as Upper Consultative Council and Lower People's Assembly. Parliament is an integral part of the Government of Egypt.
The law of the country as stated in the constitution of country is interpreted and implemented under the judicial system of Egypt. Judicial duties are divided under several courts. Human rights are taken care of for better social lives of the people. Air force of Egypt is a strong defensive body of the country.

Their national holiday is called the Anniversary of the Revolution, and is held on July 23 (it was established in 1952).

Interfered with the government over the years in different areas such as education, religion, society among many.
The subject of education, the government interfered for good in the creation of new projects such as:
    New structures
    Best computer equipment
Socially, the government managed to keep his promise to citizenship, or better known to the country.
In my opinion the government interference not been disappointing in some respects but I also believe that as Mexicans we are up to us to improve the government also for us the desired results

  18. Women's and Children's Rights
The Egyptian government has failed to create a legal environment that protects women from violence, encourages victims to report attacks, or deters perpetrators from committing these abuses. A 2008 survey by the Egyptian Center for Women's Rights found that 83 percent of Egyptian women have experienced sexual harassment in their lifetime. In October a mob of men and boys sexually assaulted women in Cairo while they were celebrating the Eid holiday marking the end of Ramadan. Eight men are reported to have been arrested and face prosecution. These attacks mark a repeat of similar violence two years earlier when police officers were videotaped doing nothing to stop the mob attacks.

Extensive amendments to Egypt's Child Law in June 2008 included establishing a network of government child protection committees, criminal penalties for officials who detain children with adults, and expanded legal assistance for children facing investigation or trial. They also criminalize female genital mutilation. At this writing, the government has yet to issue implementing regulations for the new law.

Religious Intolerance and Discrimination against Religious Minorities
Although Egypt's constitution provides for equal rights without regard to religion, discrimination against Egyptian Christians and official intolerance of Baha'is and some Muslim sects continue, despite court rulings early in 2008 that ordered the government to provide identification documents to Baha'is and to allow Muslim converts from Christianity to convert back to Christianity without penalty.

Disputes between Muslim and Christian Egyptians flared into violent clashes on several occasions, resulting in deaths and injuries as well as destruction of property. In January and again in May, Muslims attacked the Abu Fana monastery in Minya province with firearms in a dispute over land ownership

    FOOD
Egypt has a variety of national dishes. Ful (pronounced "fool," bean paste), tahini (sesame paste), koushari (lentils, macaroni, rice, and chickpeas), aish baladi (a pita-like bread), kofta (spicy, minced lamb), and kebab (grilled lamb pieces) are the most popular.
    CLOTHING
Egypt had a range of traditional costumes. The farmers (fellahin) basically wear gallibayas. In the cities the upper classes adopted the clothes of their conquerors - Ottoman Turks from 1500s, and later European from 1798. To the south the Nubians have their own distinctive costume and across the desert the Bedouin also have a separate style of clothing.
    CELEBRATION
From extant data we can reconstruct a cultic calendar for the major deities of Egypt, such as Amun at Thebes, Hathor of Dendera, Horus of Edfu and others. Frequently, inscribed on the walls of such temples are detailed lists of feasts, all presented in a systematic manner. Such festival calendars were also copied and kept in the scrolls of the temple archives. From these, we can often determine whether a feast took place within the civil calendar or according to the moon.
